Alexander SuperTramp
Chris McCandless or ‘Alexander Supertramp’ was an American adventurer who became widely known after his life story was chronicled in the book and film Into the Wild. In the early 1990s, McCandless gave up his possessions, donated his savings to charity, and embarked on a journey across North America, seeking a life of simplicity and self-reliance. His travels culminated in a solitary adventure in the Alaskan wilderness, where he lived off the land in an abandoned bus. Tragically, McCandless died of starvation in 1992. His story has since inspired many for its themes of freedom, the quest for meaning, and the allure of nature.
